Steve Skelton (born August 6, 1989) is an American football tight end who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Fordham and was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2011. Skelton has also been a member of the Houston Texans. ==College career== Skelton attended Fordham University, where he played football for the Fordham Rams. In his freshman year he played at Tight End and Special Teams. In his sophomore year he caught 22 passes for 236 yards (10.7 yards per reception) and his first touchdown. In his junior year he finished his season with 63 receptions for 634 yards (10.1 yards per reception) with 6 touchdown catches from his brother John Skelton. In his senior year he had 42 receptions for 443 yards (10.5 yards per reception), reaching the end zone 3 times. Over the course of his collegiate career, Skelton recorded 127 receptions for 1,313 yards and ten touchdowns, all career-highs for a Fordham tight end. He is seventh on the school’s all-time receptions list and tied for eighth in career touchdown receptions. Fordham University senior tight end Stephen Skelton was selected to play in the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Game in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Skelton played for Texas, his native state, for head coach Bill Bates, a former Dallas Cowboy. Only two players from the Patriot League played in the game. ()
